TROUBLESHOOTING
Why your TikTok download is not working
Work through link errors, unavailable posts, expired downloads, and temporary service problems.
First check where the failure happens: submitting a link, loading a post, or saving a file. Each stage has a different next step. A failed download does not by itself mean the creator deleted the post.
The link is rejected or will not resolve
Paste a complete HTTPS TikTok URL rather than a username, search result, or block of sharing text. Public post links and supported short links such as vm.tiktok.com and vt.tiktok.com are accepted. If a short link cannot be resolved, copy the full video or photo-post URL from TikTok and try that instead.
A full profile URL opens the creator’s available profile feed. To download one particular post, select it from that feed or paste its own post link into the downloader.
The post is unavailable
Check the original post on TikTok. Private or deleted posts cannot be retrieved through LitTik. Age restrictions, regional restrictions, and provider availability can also prevent a public-looking post from loading. Being able to view a post in your signed-in TikTok app does not guarantee that LitTik’s source can access it.
If the post is public and still available, wait and try again. LitTik cannot bypass access restrictions or restore removed media.
The service is busy or the request times out
A temporary service problem, request limit, or slow connection can interrupt loading. Wait before retrying and check your connection. Repeatedly pressing the button will not fix an unavailable provider.
If LitTik says downloads are not connected or cannot be authorized, there is nothing to change in your TikTok account. Contact support with the error message and public post URL.
The preview works but the download fails
Download links are temporary, and the underlying media may also become unavailable. Reopen or reload the post in LitTik to fetch fresh links, then choose an available download. A working preview does not guarantee that every video version is still available.
If a watermark-free option is unavailable, use another offered version if it meets your needs. LitTik cannot create a missing version simply by retrying. If a file is reported as too large, try a smaller available version; the service does not split files.
A photo ZIP fails
A ZIP requires every selected image to download successfully. If an image fails, the archive stops. Keep the page open while it is being prepared, refresh the post before retrying, or save available photos individually. The slideshow guide explains how to choose between these options.
The download finished, but you cannot find it
Check your browser’s downloads list and your device’s file manager. Browser downloads do not necessarily appear in your photo library. On iPhone, follow the guide to finding downloads in Files.
Send the details that help
If the problem persists, email support with the public TikTok URL, the exact error, your browser and device, and the download you selected. Do not send passwords or private account information.
